Ex-Canadian Beauty Queen And Gospel Artist Foluke Releases New Video “Give God The Glory”

aqFoluke, pronounced as (pho-lou-kay). Born and raised in Toronto, Canada to Nigerian

Parents. Foluke grew up in Canada in a Christian home where her early childhood days were spent mostly in church.

Her passion for singing started at the very tender age of 7 where she would listen to her favorite Gospel artists like Commission, Yolanda Adams, Bebe & Cece Winans, Kim Burrell, Donnie McClurkin and Ebenezer Obey to name a few.

Growing up in Canada with Reverend Parents in ministry exposed her to an early

Christian upbringing combined with the Canadian Fashion Lifestyle; giving her the best of both worlds. Outside of the Gospel Ministry, Foluke was influenced by the voices of

the likes Anita Baker, Brandy, Keyshia Cole, Shania Twain and Jennifer Hudson to name a few.

At the tender age of 2, her parents decided she move to Nigeria for 6 years, giving her

the opportunity to speak, read and write the Native tongue “Yoruba”. After those 6 years, she returned to Canada and re-immersed into Canadian lifestyle.

Foluke studied Economics and gained life experience working with governmental

Agencies and not-for-profit organizations for about 8 years. While studying in University,

she took a bold step out the box and competed and won the Miss Nigeria Canada

pageant. Through the pageant exposure, she was able to lend a hand by increasing

awareness about Sickle Cell Anemia.
She also became a brand Ambassador for Western Union Canada, featured in Amina Magazine(International African magazine), Trumpet Magazine(England), Pride and Share Magazine(Canada), Tribune Newspaper(Nigeria),Television interviews on NTA, MBI (Nigeria), Radio Station Interview Rhythm 93.7(Lagos,

Nigeria)
